My name is Sara Hellman and I am searching for a deaf interpreter internship to allow me to hone my ASL skills and be more involved with the deaf community. I plan to be an interpreter after completion of college and feel this experience would help me become a better student, interpreter, and more well-rounded individual. I have studied ASL for four years, and have taken classes in middle school, high school, and at TMCC. I have taught friends how to sign and enjoy being among people in the deaf community. I would like to be an intern and learn the profession of interpretation from a professional in the field. If you have such an opportunity within your organization, please feel free contact me.

Fundraising Breakfast on April 30th

NVSAD Meeting


NVSAD will host a fundraising breakfast at Donner Springs Mobile Home Park Clubhouse, 4465 Boca Way, Reno. After a hearty breakfast, there will be NVSAD meeting.


Date: Saturday, April 30, 2005
Time: 9:00 am to 12:00 p.m.
Breakfast: $4.00 for members
$5.00 for non-members

The fundraising will go to the community services for the deaf and hard of hearing adults and children.

Please email Maureen at FJMRFRAD@aol.com for RSVP by April 27th and if you have questions. We will be able to provide enough food for reserved people so no one goes hungry.

It is not too late to join NVAD membership for $20.00.
