Emergency Preparedness Workshop

There will be a “Emergency Preparedness” Workshop on Saturday, June 2 from 10 am to Noon at 5195 Spectrum Blvd. in Reno. Presented by Aaron Kenneston, Washoe County Emergency Manager and Gary Olsen, DHHARC Executive Director. Come and learn how to prepare for emergencies and see the State of the Art Emergency Preparedness Center. Emergency responders will be there to answer your questions. Drink and Refreshments will be provided. Sign Language interpreters will be provided. This is FREE overnight camping When: June 8th 12:00 noon (Potluck Dinner 6:00 p.m) June 9th (Potluck Dinner 6:00 p.m) June 10th 12:00 noon (or till we leave) Where: Washoe Lake State Park Directions: From WNCC - 395 North East Lake Blvd. Right turn at stop sign (go around the lake) 3 ½ miles look for a sign for state park ½ mile beyond state park sign, left turn into park At booth, left turn for group camping area (tell people at the booth your WNNC ASL group) Bring your: Tent, RV, Sleeping bag, mats, pillows Cooler (full of food, drinks & water) Sunscreen, Bug spray Hiking shoes Flash light and batteries, folding chairs Games, Frisbees, balls, toys Paper plates, cups and utensils We are at a lake, bring something to play under, on top or in the water. There are showers at the other camp ground about 5 minute easy walk. Come for the 2 nights, or one day, an afternoon; bring something to BBQ for an evening meal or the Saturday night Potluck. Just spend sometime camping with the ASL classes/club and everyone’s hands in the air. No talking! SHHHHHH! Hear the thundering silence! ?Questions?
